牛津里的这个：
(North American English, informal)
= directory enquiries

进一步查directory enquiries noun
BrE  ; NAmE  (British English)
(North American English directory assistance, or informal information)
a telephone service that you can use to find out a person’s telephone number



朗门里的这个：
2        American English        the telephone service which provides telephone numbers to people who ask for them [= directory enquiries British English]



柯林斯(前面给的链接里上不去，又从别处搜了下柯林斯)里的这个：

韦氏里的这个：

它这个“台”更有你电话打过去，它给你提供一些信息号码的意思，类似电台的台，不是前台的台，一楼图画里也是这个意思

说点学习心得，，英语进度一直比较慢，其实光追求看懂文字，进度要快的多的多，，只是因为我以听懂为主，再一遍遍模仿发音，就慢了，英语又讲究一句话好像一股气流没有停顿不断气，这点跟中文差别很大，所以他们连读吞音特别多，只为说的顺口，但是我们要不看字去听懂就障碍大了，，我现在是听力积累，词汇量也不足，只能加油努力努力了。
